About This Place

Located in the charming town of Lewes, Delaware, The Station on Kings is a distinctive and delightful destination that transcends the typical café experience. Seamlessly blending the roles of a restaurant, bakery, café, garden center, and home goods store, this vibrant establishment offers an immersive journey for food lovers and style seekers alike.

As a restaurant and café, The Station on Kings serves up an eclectic menu that celebrates both classic and inventive flavors. Imagine biting into a flaky, buttery Almond Croissant Coffee Cake or savoring the perfectly balanced Smoky richness of the Smoked Salmon Toast. Their Sesame Milk Latte and Iced Toasted Coconut Coffee beckon with their aromatic allure, while the Virgin Bloody Mary adds a refreshing, spirited twist. Signature dishes like the Farmhouse Egg—a luscious medley of ham, dijon, gruyere, pecorino, mozzarella, and a fried egg crowned with mornay sauce—and the vibrant Shakshuka stewed in rich tomatoes and bell peppers showcase culinary artistry that satisfies both the eyes and palate.

The menu’s fresh salads, such as the Grain Bowl packed with quinoa, farro, roasted brussels sprouts, honeycrisp apples, cranberries, feta cheese, and toasted pepitas dressed in an apple cider vinaigrette, offer a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, while hearty sandwiches like the Eggplant Katsu with crispy breading and pear kimchi or the Roast Beef Sandwich with roasted bacon jam and gruyere cheese present an irresistible fusion of comfort and sophistication.

The ambiance of The Station on Kings is just as compelling as its food. Guests regularly comment on the chic, hip environment punctuated by lively chatter and the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pastries. Sarah H captures this perfectly, describing it as a “very unique and chic café with incredible pastries and delicious coffee,” while Rich G raves about it as “the absolute best breakfast you’ll ever have” on vacation. The atmosphere buzzes with energy yet maintains a welcoming, intimate vibe that invites both locals and visitors to linger over their meals and conversations.

Beyond gastronomy, The Station on Kings is a treasure trove for those who appreciate beautiful living. Their garden center blooms with vitality, complementing the home goods store’s carefully curated collection of entertaining artifacts, elegant serving platters, artisanal cheeses, and condiments. John’s review underscores this special aspect, highlighting the “cute artifacts for entertaining guests” and the tempting selection of local bakery goods that make taking a piece of Lewes home an easy and stylish choice.

The Station on Kings presents a well-rounded, sensory-rich experience where fine taste meets charming aesthetics. While Sheyenne Sullivan notes the busy and sometimes bustling service due to popularity—a sign of just how beloved this spot has become—the exceptional quality of food and atmosphere more than make up for it, ensuring a visit here is memorable and rewarding.

Whether you’re in search of an unforgettable meal, a perfect pastry paired with creative coffee concoctions, or unique garden and home items that bring warmth and personality to your space, The Station on Kings stands as a shining gem in Lewes, eagerly awaiting your visit.

A very unique and chic cafe with incredible pastries and delicious coffee. The atmosphere is very welcoming, vibrant and one-of-a-kind! Definitely a must if you’re in the lewes area! We got the coconut cold brew latte and salted honey pistachio latte with the blueberry lemon danish and chocolate croissant. Everything was delicious!

This hip restaurant boasts incredible food that’s worth the hype! However, the high volume of customers can make for a challenging experience. With everything done over the phone, self-service for water, and difficulty catching the waitstaff's attention, it can feel a bit chaotic. Despite the challenges, the delicious dishes make it a place worth visiting!

If ever in Lewes Delaware you have to try The Station on Kings! As soon as you walk in you are surrounded by cute artifacts for entertaining your guests. They even had a wide selection of cheeses and condiments. Even the local bakery selection enticed my appetite. Love their collection for bringing the meal back to your house. Fancy serving platters to wood selection of all sizes. They even had nautical candles to light up your next gourmet meal. Plenty of sauces and spices to enhance any plate. You will be the STAR ⭐ of your next get together with friends and family. If you don’t have time to order or wait? Just grab one of the prepared salads and cheese selections to make for a delicious and easier meal to go. But I had the opportunity to order and sit for lunch. I highly recommend their Charcuterie board, and Grain Bowl with added grilled chicken breast. Delightful! Make sure you save time to stroll through there garden.

A beautiful cafe with full of kitchen gadgets. Foods were great and fresh. We are all satisfied with our dishes. It has a small garden center packed with flowers, herbs, and ornaments. What a lovely place it is. You have to order and pay upfront.

Wow. Swore off giving Google any more free labor but this café absolutely deserves every accolade. An insanely charming spot, complete with a foodie's gift shop, farmer's market, coffee bar, kitchen, and patisserie. The staff was absolutely inviting and professional. The food was out of this world. It is 100% your loss if you don't put this café on your dining itinerary when in coastal Delaware, even if you're staying in Rehoboth, Bethany, Milton, or elsewhere.
